Introducing People to God by Knowing, Living, and Sharing the Gospel

Prayer Week – Day 2

Prayer Week – Day 2

We wanted to kick off this week of the New Year prioritizing God.  We know that God does not have to do anything just because we do this, but what we wanted to do was honor Him with our lives.  We want this to be our response of His goodness to us.

Last night was an amazing time of prayer.  If you missed it, I encourage you to join us tonight.  We’ll meet at the Soto Home at 7:30-8:15pm.  Tonight we’ll be focusing on the Church.  Here’s a quick look at what we’ll be praying for this evening…

LEADERS:  Pray that …God would grant them to be extra sensitive to His voice, and give them wisdom, discernment, and courage to make tough decisions when needed.  Allow them to be God pleasers and not man pleaser.  Lastly, that God would continue to unify the core team as the church moves forward

PROVISION:  Pray that God would provide many opportunities to share Jesus with others and that we would take advantage of those opportunities, and allow us to see His Power manifest at The Rock.  Also, that God would send or we might develop some into leaders to oversee our ministries. Leaders who have godly character, who are coachable, are committed to God and believe in the Rock vision, and who have the capacity and competence to lead well.

PROTECTION: Pray that God protect Joel and his family physically, emotionally, and spiritually.  We want God to protect our families from having our hearts stray away from Him.  And, lastly that He would protect our church from contentious individuals who would want to cause division.

MINISTRIES: Pray for our ministries that our preaching may be passionate, clear, powerful, and effective.  Also, that we would see God transform more lives each Sunday in our adults, youth, and kids, and that our Worship would be engaging, authentic, and inspiring.  most importantly that those who attend leave thirsting for more of Jesus.

Joel serves as the Lead Pastor at The Rock Mansfield Church. Joel graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Joel is a dedicated husband and father to his wife Rosa and their three children, Gracie, Noe, and Gabby. His passion is to see people come to know the Lord and help develop men into godly leaders.
